Tours of historic sights:
The old town core of Kamnik immediately attracts the visitors with its narrow streets, baroque house façades and medieval historical features. Mali grad and its best preserved remains - Malograjska kapela - tower over the town streets. In a document dated from 1143, Kamnik is mentioned and counts of Andechs as owners of the land. Their influence on the development (for a time, Kamnik was the capital of Carniola) and the architectural appearance of the town has left a lasting mark.
Malograjska kapela is the best preserved part of Mali grad. The portal at the entrance and the chapel's interior are a very interesting sight worth seeing. Above Kamnik at the top of Bergantova gora the ruins of Stari grad can be seen. This is an interesting starting point for tourist who wish to see the castle ruin remains, get familiar with its history and get a panoramic view of the surrounding areas.
